Biography Writing

Choose a person that you know well to write a biography on.

Structure your writing so that it includes the following things:

Paragraph 1 –Orientation

Who are they?
What do they do?
When were they born?
Where were they born?


Paragraph 2 – Childhood

Where they went to school/college/university
A subject that they enjoyed and why
What they enjoyed doing in their spare time.


Paragraph 3

Career – what do they do for a living.
What made them come to Dubai and how long have they lived here for.
Anything of interest to note e.g. achievement, family


Paragraph 4

What are their ambitions for the future.


Remember to:
Write in mostly the past tense
Include accurate information for names, places and dates
Use temporal connectives
